We find that
the solution for all the problems is being sought all around in outside world.
There are even rituals performed for solutions of problems even to the extent
of establishing peace. This may give a boost to the name of religious
organization, person, Mathadhish, head of religious organization. But, peace,
welfare, betterment of society is not achieved. What is achieved is the money
to those persons, pseudo-image, ego and nothing of value for which all is
organized. In fact hat of peace, even the source of the problem is not known.
Now the fundamental question is, if we cannot trace the root of the problem,
can we ever reach a solution? Be it even worship of God. Indeed, we can find a
solution in only the God's way.
The greatest
truth is that-the source of all problems is rooted within us, i.e., human mind.
So it is only by looking within us that we can find solutions, and work to
achieve them. As rightly said by Colin Wilson, "The mind has exactly the
same power as hands; not merely to grasp the world, but to change it". So
it's essential that we must know the inner world. If the mind of a person can
be made good through the most subtle tool, namely love, that is the beginning
of the changed and better world. "Where there is love, there is
life", observes Mahatma Gandhi. It is that life, that conscientious life,
I am talking about.
Leo Tolstoy
says, "All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I
love". In reality, love is real spirituality. Love is above all the
religion, nationality, caste & profession. We are like beads strung
together on the same thread that is love.
The basic aim of life must be to kindle love in man for all living
beings. If we delete conceit, jealousy & hatred, the love for each other
becomes visible as the basic inherent nature towards others. Aristotle, the
father of philosophy says, "Love is true when it comes from the heart, not
from the mouth". The beauty of the world can be heightened & problems
solved by igniting the minds & hearts of people with spark of love and
rightful actions for each other.
External
communication through internet, computers & mobiles has brought in the
people of distant countries within a business & life's bargain.
Paradoxically, the lack of communication towards our nears & dears and
those living close by, suffers with increasing distance. The eminent
psychoanalyst & motivator suggests, "There is no scarcity of
opportunity to make a living at what you love, that's only a scarcity of
resolve to make it happen". The world suffers from the poverty, which is
of two types. The first being the poverty of food, clothing, & shelter. The
second type of poverty is caused by lack of love & compassion. Out of the
above, it is the second type of poverty that needs attention due to the very
basic fact that if we love people with our hearts, empathize with them &
serve them with compassion, the first type of poverty & the problems of
food, shelter & clothing will find solutions.
The key here
is the spirituality of love, the enlightened self, which opens up our minds
& hearts for the good of all. This key enables us to see differently when
we empathize, and heals us internally and the persons we serve. "You know
its love when all you want is that person to be happy, even if you're not part
of their happiness", says Julia Roberts. When Freud was an old man, a
journalist once asked him the requirements of healthy mind. The journalist
expected a long reply, instead the reply was "Lieben und
Arbeiten"Love & Work. Elaborated, Freud's Sutra implies that the happy
adult has a capacity for loyal and enduring relationships and can use his or
her talents, free from paralyzing in productive, good work.
Our minds
are blinded by selfishness, which leads to loss of judgment & distorted
vision, creating more uncertainties and thus creating more problems, rather
than solutions. Thus, if we do not use the key of spirituality of love, our
minds & hearts will be auto-locked. On the contrary, if we use the same
key, our minds & hearts will be unlocked with a new mindset, new
creativity, new life & new world.
Mignon McLaughlin says, "In the arithmetic of love, one plus one
equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing". I think the search for an answer to the
common happiness, through love & work can end with a Chinese saying:
"Happiness is someone to love, something to work at, and something to hope
for"
